October 27, 6 p.m. Topics include Bus Operating and Maintenance Facility and Robertson Street Realignment. A public meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 to discuss the final recommendations for the Robertson Street realignment near the A-train rail corridor and design and construction of the planned bus operations and maintenance facility on Teasley Street in Southeast Denton. Robertson Street RealignmentDCTA presented its recommendation for the Robertson Street realignment to the Denton Traffic Safety Commission. Since there were slight modifications from the option endorsed by the community, DCTA would like to provide more information to Southeast Denton residents about the modifications and address any additional concerns or questions. Illustrations of the two options will be available for viewing at the meeting to help you better understand the differences between the two. Bus Operating and Maintenance FacilityDCTA will also discuss the design, construction and environmental impacts of the new bus operations and maintenance facility that will be located at 1101 Teasley. This project once complete will replace the existing leased facility currently located at the City of Denton’s Solid Waste Facility. The 15 acres site will include a 14,000 sq. ft facility for maintenance and operations as well as a fueling and parking area for DCTA vehicles. Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings.
