During the course of construction, DCTA will have to close roads to lay track and install signals. DCTA and its contractor, the North Texas Rail Group, will try to minimize disruptions to the daily traffic flow and limit detours. However, some road closures and detours are inevitable.

Duncan Street will be closed at the crossing for four weeks beginning Thursday, August 12, while workers make improvement to the street grade and build a rail bed. Signs will be installed to direct motorists around the construction. This work is part of the A-train passenger rail project that will connect Denton to Carrollton and provide Denton County with another choice in transportation.

Various lanes of Colorado/Woodrow will be closed at the crossing Monday, August 16, while workers make improvements to the street grade and build a rail bed.
