Is the Federal Transit Administration involved in the project?

No. The FTA and DCTA jointly issued a Draft Environmental Impact
Statement (DEIS) for the project in 2007. However, when DCTA
subsequently decided not to seek FTA funding for the project, FTA
withdrew its endorsement of that DEIS. DCTA continued the environmental
review of the project on its own. At present, FTA has no involvement in
the funding or construction of the project.
